Ex-Astronaut's Remarks Barred

MIAMI, Nov. 2 -- Statements that former astronaut Lisa M. Nowak made after her arrest and incriminating items that investigators retrieved from her car may not be used by prosecutors at her trial because they were improperly obtained.

The issue that brought this article to my attention was the fact that a judge actually managed to uphold the constitutional safeguards found in the 4th and 5th Amendments. Just when I thought they were dead, I see a spark of life. This decision could be overturned, and it is doubtful that the Orlando police will change their tactics. But perhaps there is some small glimmer of hope for the U.S. Constitution after all.

Now can we make some progress in states like Idaho?
